POS Prompts and InstallCard Sales/Validation Reporting

The InstallCards will have a UPC bar code like any other product. When scanned at the register a prompt should appear instructing the sales associate to also scan the InstallCard number. Such as the procedure for your prepaid phone or gift cards. Note: Our experience has been that some sales associates will scan the barcode number again in the prompt. We suggest directing them to the bottom of the card and if possible build field constraints to not accept the UPC number.

The barcode does include the dashes ("-") so please allow 14 characters in the entry field. All characters are numbers only. Note: The InstallCards do not contain a magnetic-swipe like gift cards and will not work through a credit card processing device.

File Format

The file formats that we prefer to receive are xml, xls (excel), and csv. Although, it should be noted that we can receive almost any file format as long as the file structure is consistent. This will be an automated process on our end once the file is received or triggered by us.

Sales Prompt Reminder

Some of our clients have also elected to prompt the sales associate as a reminder to the customer that Installation is available. Similar process to extended warranty availability prompts which is common to retailers.

Example: "Are you aware that Professional Installation is available for this product for only $69.95 (Purchase InstallCard Item# 42-1106)" or any such abbreviation.
